About the Buenos Aires Cup

One of the major international youth tournaments in the Americas. Your team represents the United States against teams from South, Central and North America, plus clubs from Europe and Asia.

Many participating teams are professional academies. Expect opponents who are very technical, physical and comfortable keeping possession: a realistic look at the level outside the United States.

  • One coach’s tour package is free for every 15 players. A 30-player group brings 2 coaches at no tour cost. Additional coaches are $1,650.
  • $1,650 for parents and additional travelers: same hotel, breakfast and transportation as players, with access to all activities and games.
  • Airfare is not included for anyone, including coaches who travel free. Everyone books their own flight to Buenos Aires-Ezeiza (EZE).

Argentina tour FAQ

What is the Buenos Aires Cup?

An international youth soccer tournament held in Buenos Aires each July. It brings together teams from South, Central and North America, plus clubs from Europe and Asia, and many of them are professional academies. Teams on our tour compete in the tournament as part of the trip.

How many games will my team play?

Every team plays at least five matches, plus finals, on FIFA-regulation artificial turf fields. The format and game length depend on the age group, from 7v7 with 20-minute halves to 11v11 with 30-minute halves.

Which age groups can enter?

Boys’ teams born from 2009 to 2019 (2027 ages 8 to 18), in six birth-year divisions: 2018–2019 and 2017–2018 play 7v7, 2015–2016 plays 9v9, and 2013–2014, 2011–2012 and 2009–2010 play 11v11.

What are the opponents like?

Expect teams that are very technical, physical and comfortable keeping possession. Many are professional academies, so it’s a realistic test of the level outside the United States.

Who is the tour for?

U.S. boys’ club teams that want high-level international competition, plus individual players who join our Select Team.

When is the 2027 tour?

July 25–31, 2027. Teams arrive in Buenos Aires on Sunday, July 25, and return on Saturday, July 31. Flights from the U.S. are overnight, so most teams depart on Saturday, July 24.

How much does it cost?

$1,995 per player for 2027, not including airfare. It covers the hotel with daily hot breakfast, airport and local transportation, tournament entry and referee fees, training with Argentine professional coaches, individual evaluations and uniforms. Lunch and dinner are not included.

Do coaches travel free?

One coach’s tour package is free for every 15 players. For example, a group of 30 players brings 2 coaches at no tour cost. Airfare is not included for anyone, including those coaches. Additional coaches, parents and other travelers are $1,650 each, plus airfare.

Do teams book their own flights?

Yes. Teams fly into Buenos Aires-Ezeiza (EZE). Flights from the U.S. are overnight. We pick the group up at the airport and take you to the hotel.

Can parents travel with the team?

Yes. Parents are welcome to travel with the group or separately. The price for parents and additional travelers is $1,650, which includes the same hotel, daily breakfast and transportation as the players, plus access to all tour activities and games. Only tournament participation is not included.

Which stadium do teams visit?

Teams tour La Bombonera, home of Boca Juniors, or the Monumental, home of River Plate.

Is this a pro tryout?

No. It’s a competitive soccer tour built around the Buenos Aires Cup. Every player receives an individual evaluation, but we don’t promise contracts, trials or signings.
