Two ways to get seen
Friday night evaluation
- Register and pay $45. The fee is transferable to a future Los Angeles evaluation.
- Arrive by 7:15 PM at Soccer Center & Turf Fields in South Gate with cleats, shin guards and water.
- Train and play in front of Coach Geordy.
- Hear back and talk through your results with a scout.
Book the scout
- Book at least 72 hours before kickoff. Your fee is based on distance.
- Coach Geordy texts you within 24 hours to confirm.
- The scout watches from the sideline and never interrupts your team.
- Get your evaluation and a call with the scout.

Meet Coach Geordy Chavez
Geordy Chavez is the Soccer Scouting Pros scout for Los Angeles. A lifelong player who has played in Italy, Germany and Ecuador, he develops young players across L.A. and looks for hungry players with untapped potential. He has worked our international programs in Argentina and Germany, so he knows what coaches abroad expect. He speaks English and Spanish.

Earn a spot on the Germany Select Team
Evaluated players can be selected for the Germany Player Showcase, March 20–27, 2027: training with MFS Pro coaches in Munich and three exhibition matches against academy teams, one in Switzerland.
Players also go on to train with club academies in Ecuador through our Ecuador Pro Residency.
The evaluation stands on its own. Every player gets honest feedback, whether or not they travel.

Where can my child get a soccer evaluation in Los Angeles?
Soccer Scouting Pros runs an in-person player evaluation on Friday, November 20, 2026 at 7:30 PM at Soccer Center & Turf Fields, 9599 Pinehurst Avenue, South Gate, CA 90280, for $45. Families can also book scout Coach Geordy Chavez to watch the player’s next game anywhere in the Los Angeles area, from $45.
Who can get evaluated?
Competitive youth players in Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, South Gate, Downey, East L.A., Pasadena, Long Beach, Orange County and nearby. The Friday night evaluation is the selection for the Germany Player Showcase team, for boys 15–18.
How much does it cost?
The in-person evaluation is $45 per player. Booking Coach Geordy at your game is $45 within 10 miles of his home base in Alhambra and $65 for 10–25 miles. Games more than 25 miles away include a $25 travel fee: $120 for 25–50 miles and $170 for 50–100 miles. Farther than that, we send a quote.
What should we bring on November 20?
Arrive by 7:15 PM to check in, with cleats (turf shoes work too), shin guards and water. The evaluation starts at 7:30 PM.
What if I can’t make November 20?
Book Coach Geordy to watch your next game instead, or text (626) 507-4033 before the evaluation. The $45 fee is non-refundable, but it’s transferable to a future Los Angeles evaluation.
What if my game is moved or canceled?
Text us the new date and time and the scout will follow it, or we pick another game. If no scout can make your game, we move it to another game or refund you in full.
Will the scout interrupt my team or talk to my coach?
No. The scout watches from the sideline. We only contact your coach if you share their info and give us permission, to give them a heads-up and ask for a short reference.
What do I get after the evaluation?
An evaluation of your technical level, discipline and competitive mentality, and a conversation with the scout about where you stand and what to work on next. Players who fit can be invited to the Germany Player Showcase in Munich, March 20–27, 2027.
